EOTC Incident Reporting

At St Joseph's School, we ensure that all EOTC-related incidents, near misses, and safety concerns raised by students, staff, and others are reported, reviewed, and followed up. This allows us to prevent future incidents and meet our obligations under the Education and Training Act 2020 and Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. An incident is any situation where there was or may have been harm to people or damage to property (e.g. someone goes missing, theft or vandalism, injury, or death). It also includes situations where intervention was required to ensure safety. For serious incidents that impact the school community, we may need to implement our crisis management procedures.
