Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC)
- EONZ (Education Outdoors New Zealand) released updates to its Safety Management Plan (SMP) template and EOTC Toolkit forms on 28 August, 2023. SchoolDocs updates to the EOTC section take into account EONZ's latest resource updates.
- SchoolDocs EOTC topics remain closely based on the Safety Management Plan (SMP) template, which is a good practice guide for how a school plans and manages EOTC delivery.
- SchoolDocs topics now reference relevant toolkit templates in the Resources section of topics, as appropriate.

- Some schools have told us they don't allow private vehicle use for EOTC so we have added wording to cover this situation.
- We no longer provide a SchoolDocs Transport Volunteer Agreement and schools should refer to the EONZ form instead – see EOTC Transport Driver Agreement Form.
- Our current and updated EOTC Transport topic has optional wording for secondary and composite schools about student drivers. Note that EONZ advises against allowing students to transport other students.
