• This topic was a section header with no content. Now outlines school governance and management, referencing the policies in its section.
• Relevant information from the Documentation and Self-Review Policy, Managing Policy and Procedures, and Policy and Procedure Audit Committee moved into this policy, including school-specific policy statements.
• State-integrated schools have a section on the governance and management role of the proprietor, and information about special character and the integration agreement.

• Updated policy in consultation with an external advisor to clarify requirements and support schools to include more school-specific information.
• Now two policy options for schools:
  • SchoolDocs policy: Includes legislative requirements and information about Tiriti articles, and sections about community partnership, strategic planning, school programmes, and equitable outcomes. Each section provides core wording, with options to provide additional school-specific information.
  • School-supplied policy: Includes legislative requirements and links to a school-supplied policy document (PDF). Provided prompts schools can use to develop their own Te Tiriti o Waitangi policy.
