Flexible Working Arrangements
|
- By law, all employers must consider employee requests for flexible working arrangements. This new topic, outlining a process for consideration and response, was added to the Employer Responsibility section in term 3, 2002.
- The policy explains how staff can apply for flexible working arrangements, and includes information about how the application will be dealt with and responded to.
- The policy includes several useful resource links, including sample application and employer response templates.

- This new topic was added to the Digital Technology and Cybersafety section.
- This policy includes guidelines for recording, and publishing and sharing photos, video, and sound.
- We further updated the topic later in the term to clarify wording about consent and add extra helpful resources.

Health Education
|
- After consultation with the New Zealand Catholic Education Office, we have removed reference to "contraceptive education" for Catholic schools.

External and Private Tutors
|
- This new optional topic is for schools who allow external or private tutors to work with students during school time.

Concerns and Complaints (Catholic Schools only)
|
- We added wording related to complaints about historic abuse and linked to the NOPS Call Chart.
|
Use of School Property Outside School Hours
|
- We clarified that the board has the ultimate authority for authorising use of school buildings, grounds, and property outside of school hours, and this authority can be delegated only for applications for casual or occasional use.
- We clarified the different processes for applications for casual or occasional use versus long term use, regular hire, or lease.
- We added further details about what is considered before approving use of school property and what policies anyone using school property must follow.
