Secondary Employment

At St Joseph's School, we recognise that secondary employment or work may provide personal and professional development opportunities. Staff members must act in good faith and disclose if they have secondary employment or work, or intend to enter into secondary employment or work, as this would be a potential or actual conflict of interest. We work with staff to ensure that any potential or actual conflict is mitigated or managed. See Conflicts of Interest.

We want to ensure any secondary employment does not pose any risk, including but not limited to:

Staff members must regularly update the school regarding the secondary role, including any changes in the role, and proactively notify the school of any potential or actual breaches of the expectations above. Staff members must not perform work for a second job during their hours of work for St Joseph's School.
